REVIEW: WEDGE ISSUE PIZZA
A combo that can’t fail to impress, homemade pizza and craft beers…Say hello to Wedge Issue Pizza in Clerkenwell serving everything from gluten free bases, to the hottest pizza sauce money can buy as well as having over 40 toppings selections incase you fancy a bit of DIY. Bases are thin and crispy with sauces being made entirely of made from San Marzano tomatoes, that’s it. Pizzas are named after areas of London and well, being East at heart the The London Fields won us over, that’s crushed homemade meatballs, ricotta cheese, fresh chilies, San Marzano tomato sauce. Don’t want pizza? Then apply the above to pasta and voila.
Whilst over on the craft beer menu there are all sorts on draft, in bottles, in big bottles and cans, boasting everything from re-fermented Champagne yeast blondes to names like ‘Wu Gang Chops the Tree’ showing us there’s plenty to keep going back for…Get wedged in people.
